    4. Maybe like all of you have said had a bad childhood because maybe also somthing in his childhood that happened may be the reason he is a detective. Also, I agree with Catelyn maybe there was someone in his childhood that mistreated him or he really disliked someone for maybe doing something to his family or himself and just hides it because it is embarassing or he doesnt like to remember things that are bad in his life.

  6. 1. Victors parents might have died on victor's 9th birthday and it might have scarred him for life. Or maybe he ran away or his parents abandoned him, and maybe that is why he hates his childhood.

    1. 1.I agree with Scott. Maybe something happened with his family. There are many possibilities. He could have bad parents that treated him badly or he could have run away. Or maybe he didn't even have a 9th birthday.Maybe everyone forgot about his birthday and that is his bad memory.

    2. Great point Masie. It could have been that way and victor felt his family didn't care for him any more and that is why he could've ran away.

  7. 2. Riccio found out there are no locks in the " Casa Spavento" when he gets taken inside.

  8. 3. I think they might keep victor unless he SWEARS that he wont rat them out. If they let him go I think Victor might be monitored by the kids and the thief lord.

  9. 2.One thing Riccio found out about Ida Spavento's house was that there was maid and 2 or 3 dogs that live there also. I do not think it would be an easy place to rob because you would not only have to worry about what time Miss.Spavento came home but also have to worry about what time the maid and her dogs are would come back to the house. This wouldn't be easy because you would have another job other than robbing the place you would also have to watch the doors and windows to make sure you don't get caught.

  10. 3. I think the kids will keep Victor until Ester and her husband leave Venice and think that Bo and Prosper have gone some were else. If they let Victor go 2 things could happen. He could tell on them and release what he knows about them or he could keep his promise and not tell anyone about them as long as they don't rob Ida Spavento's house. We know that the kids do try and rob the house but we don't know if Miss.Spavento is going to tell the cops yet.

  11. 2. Riccio found out that there really is dogs in Ida Spavento's home and there was maids that work there. If there was no locks in the house it probably would be an easy house to steal from.

  12. 1. I agree with Masie that Victor had a bad childhood because something could have happened to his family.
    2. Riccio found out in Ida Spavento's house there were guard dogs. This house would be hard to rob because you would have to keep a look out to make sure you did not get caught. You would also have to make sure that they were not home at that time.
    3. I think the orphans will let Victor go because he told them that he would not tell if they did not rob the house. Although, even though he kept a promise, I still think he will trick them into letting them go!!!

  13. 1. @Masie
I agree that he had a bad childhood, but I also think that Victor might had done something bad that reminds him of what the children are doing. Maybe he was going through the same thing when he was a kid and is thinking that it was the wrong thing to do.
    2. Riccio found out that there were guard dogs and that it would be hard to get into the house without having the dogs bark at them. If they barked at them then they might get caught. They would also had to keep an out to make sure that there wasn't anything else that could get them caught.
    3. I think the orphans will keep him hostage because they can't trust he unless he reveals the truth. If they let him go I don't think that he will tell the police because going back to number one he might had gone through the same thing.

    1. I agree with Hannah that the orphans migth keep him hostage until he reveals the truth. I think they will also let him go because he is only looking for Bo and Prosper, not to arrest the kids.
I think if they let him go he will tell Bo and Prosper's aunt that he found them.

  14. I think that victor had a really bad thing happen on his birthday.2 hard beacuse the house is so big and to top that off they have dogs.3 ask victor for questions and keep him hostage. if they let victor go he might tell the parents where they are.

    1. 3. I agree with blake the kids will probably keep him for a while and they would probably want to get the most out of him by asking him a lot of questions. If they let him go he might tell Bo and Prosper's aunt and uncle where they are.

  15. 1.I think victor might have done something naughty on his 9th birthday.2. He found they have dogs which would make it hard to rob.3.they will ask him questions and if they let him go he might rat them out.

  16. 1. He maybe had a bad birthday or wanted a present and did not get it. 2. An easy house to rob because it is so big that if one thing is missing than it wont be a big deal. 3. I think they might keep him as hostage if they let him go than he will always have something to put over there heads.

  17. 3. The ophrans would probably keep Victor until he could be trusted. Or Ester would probably realize that victor hasn't been picking up the telephone and probably call the police to investagate.

  18. 1.I believe that something happened in Victor's past that was not good and he hides it. He might have had some bad memories things probably happened to him or his family.
    2. Ida Spavento has guard dogs and has many rooms so her house would be hard to rob.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 1. I think something happened that made him grow up too fast and his childhood ended too soon.

    2. This house would be easy to rob because there are no alarms and it has an unlocked back door.

    3. I think that they will keep victor as long as possible because if they let him go he might tell that they live in an abandoned movie theater.

    ReplyDelete
  20. 1. I think that something that maybe changed his life happened on his 9th b-day.
    2. I AM GOING TO KEEP THINKING ON THIS ONE...
    3. I think that they are going to make the wrong decision and let Victor go. I also believe that when they let Victor go he will come back with the "Stella" surrounded by police and instead of bringing them to their aunt, he will bring their aunt to them.

  22. 1. I think Victors parents died on his 9th birthday.

    2. Riccio found out that Ida Spevento's house had no dogs guarding so I think her house will be easy to break in.

3.I think the kids will interogate victor and be careful so that he doesn't break himself free. If they let him go he might spill their hiding spot to the police.

    1. Well... he does refer sometimes to his parents but i don't think that they died on his ninth bday. Maybe they just didn't show up and he was sad about that, but i don't think that they died Riki.
What other things do you think could've happened?

  23. #1...I think that Victor would like to forget everything that has happened to him since his 9th birthday if something bad has continuessly happened to him over the years. Maybe he had an accident and eversince then still to this day the are making fun of him. His parents could have died on his birthday and ever since then he has felt that nobody truly loves him anymore.

#2...Some things that Ricio found were that there was a couple of guard dogs, a maid, and there were not many locks in the "Casa Spevento" this would make it easier if they found a way around the maid or if they somehow got the maid out of the house. if they wanted to destract the dogs the could bring them some treats or tie them up, but the dogs might bark so that wouldn't be such a good idea. Also, fact being there were no locks the wouldn't have to strugle with them.

#3...I think that the orphans should and should not let Victor go. If they let him go and he tells the police or anyone else they wouyld be in trouble but not as much trouble as they would have been in if they keep Victor hostage. Also if they would keep him spomebody might eventually find out and he could overhear all of there conversations and then if and when he gets out he will go tell everyone before hand instead of letting them find out the hard way. I definetly thought they were going to toss him into the river. I also think that Victor will help them keep safe and provide them with things they need if the do something for Victor instead, possibly work for him. In addition I think they will reep what they sew.

    1. I agree with you Olivia because something might of happened continuessly over the years and dosen't want to bring it up. I also agree with3. because Victor could tell the police and eventually end up with their aunt.

  24. 1. I think that something on his ninth birthday might of affected him that day. I think that a person in his family have died or maybe it could have been a phrase.

    2. Riccio found there were guard dogs surrounding the house so he got sausage links so it was easier to rob.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 3. I think they will give him food and water and will probably keep him for a couple days and then let him go. When he is let go I think that he will keep the location of their hideout a secret from the aunt and uncle

    1. Or maybe victor trades them in for money because victor seems a little greedy........

      Delete
  26. 2. Riccio found that there was a housekeeper and a few dogs that they feed sausages. I think that it is an easy place to rob because the housekeeper leaves at about 6 and Mrs. Spavento goes to bed early so it would be easy to get in if she is asleep

    ReplyDelete
  27. 3. I think they might throw Victor in the river, bring him to jail,or let him go. It might be a bad idea to let him go because he couldn't get in trouble, if they don't let him go they would get him in trouble and be free without him asking them questions.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 1. he had a really terrible 9th birthday so terrible that he wanted to forget it ever happened
2.The house was surrounded of guard dogs who apparently love meat so Ricio got some sausage links and when they were breaking in he threw the sausages at the dogs so that can be busy and they can just sneak by. Yes other than the dogs it was really easy to get in.
    3. Since Victor kept his word of honor to not tell any one, they might ask him to buy them food and jackets for the winter or they might not trust him and just through him in to the canal

    1. @ Max that is true maybe he did have a horrible birthday. If I had a horrible birthday I would want to remember it.

  29. 1. I think that the reason why Victor would like to forget everything that happened since his 9th birthday is something tragic happened on his birthday like a relative died or some seismic event happened which ruined his party.
    2. It would be easy to rob Ida Spavento’s house because Ida Spavento goes to bed early and the house keeper leaves at six o’clock.
    3. They will keep him hostage so that he doesn’t tell the heartlebs where prosper and Bo was. If they let him go he might go tell the heartlebs where Prosper and Bo are.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It would be easy because since it's so big, and theres so much stuff in that house you could just walk in, and walk in and quickly get something and just keep walking like nothing happened.

  31. I think the orphans will keep Victor, and they will take care of his tortoises, and i think hell go on there side, and they will become friends and trust each other and he won't tell ester hartleib, and there'll never have to live with them or they live with them, and they keep Prosper, and don,t send him away.

  32. Here's my answer to question 2. because I had to refer back to the book and I did the other questions over the weekend. So...

    2. They found the lions wing in Ida Spivento's house. I believe that that her house is not easy to rob because they got caught in there so then, she must be very cautious of what's happening in her house at all times.

    Any replies?

    1. Maddie-I agree that it was not easy because they got caught, but if they had experience like Scipio had

      Delete
    2. That is a good point that they did get caught. Also, remember there were the dogs and to even get close to the house they had to climb over a large fence and go through what to me seemed like a maze of doors.

      Delete
    3. for question 2
Ricio saw the wing in Ida Spavento's house. I think that her house would be hard to rob because since it is a big house, you would hear every step.

      for question 3
I think the children will keep him until they find the wing and get the money. He will have to stay there until they let him go.

    4. OLIVIA remember Scipio didn't have expeiriance he " stole" the stuff from his father.

    5. I think Victor had done something really bad when he was younger.

    6. #1 i think that something bad happened at his 9nth birthday like non of his friends showed up or it wasn't the way he wanted it.

    7. They found the wing. It is a difficult place to rob because the house was huge and it's hard to be quiet with a bunch of kids.

    8. 1. I think victer had a bad childhood or something went wrong at his ninth birthday that made him wanna forget it.
      2. Well i think the house could have been easy to rob because no one else was home with her and she went to bed early so i was suprised that she caught all of them but she was nice i a way has long has they did the favor of letting her go with them to give the wing and let them follow the conte with her
3.Since victer gave his word of honor i dont think he will tell

      Delete
    9. #2 easy because theirs barely anyone protecting it or anything, the only problem is to climb over the wall.

    10. #3 i don't think they are going to do anything to victor but if they let him go he might come back and try to take bo and prosper

    11. I think they would tie Victor up. If they let him go he would probably tell there aunt.

    12. @ Bryan
I agree, Bryan that non of his friends showed up

  33. They found a wing. I think it would be easy to rob the house because no one else was home, and it was a big house.

3)I think the orphans will possibly keep him hostage or else he might tell people about the kids and where they are hiding. If they let Victor go he most likely will tell someone about the kids or secretly get Bo and Prospers aunt.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 1. I think victor got treated bad by his parents when he was nine and older.

    2. Ida house would be a hard house to rob because to get the wing it would make to much nosie.

    3. I think they will keep him as a hostage. If they let him go he will tell the police where they are hiding.
