1. Describe the exchange between the Conte and the kids. Do you think that the exchange with the kids went smoothly? Why do you think so? (There are 3 parts to this question.
2. The Isola Segreta isn't supposed to have any inhabitants, yet it looks/sounds as if there were people living on the island. What/who do you think lives on the island? Why do you think that?
3. What are the consequences of Scipio taking a ride on the merry-go-round? (i.e. how will things now be different for him?)
4. Do you think it was a good idea for Scipio to do this? Explain.
5. If you had the chance to change your age, would you? Why or Why not? What age would you want to be? (There are 3 parts to this question)
1)Yes because there was no trouble except for the fact the the conte gave them fake money
ReplyDelete3. If Scipio goes on the merry-go-round, he could either go back in his life or go forward in his life. I would not go on the merry-go-round because you wouldn't want to get older and you don't want to get younger. I would just want to have a normal life. If Scipio goes on the merry-go-round, his life can change quickly if he goes forward or backwards.
ReplyDelete1) The exchange between the Conte and the kids is that the kids have to go out on the canal and give the wing to the Conte, and in return the Conte give them the "money". I think the exchange went smoothly because they kept it simple and fast. They also didn't make a huge deal about it and kept it pretty secret.
Delete2) I think that the conte is part of the family who onwend the island and he and some family members retook the island
ReplyDeleteno it did not go well because the conte tricked them and the island he lived in had people shooting the kids.
Delete3)If scipio takes the merry go round and turns to an a adult that could be bad because he would have no education or degree and end up making his kick him out of the house
ReplyDelete1. I don't think the Conte should of given the orphans fake money because they made a deal and she just tricked them! I think the orphans are disappointed that she tricked them and mad that what they had to go through. The exchange went smoothly but only when they thought they had a lot of money.
ReplyDelete4) yes because if never told prosper, prosper might think that scipio is triple crossing them and he just went to the past to change the past so prop and bo would be found and taken away
ReplyDeleteI think the exchange did go smoothly but they got fake money, and i think it was very mean that they tricked because they new that they didnt have a lot of money.
DeleteWhen the kids and the Conte exchanged the wing for the money, I do think the exchange went smoothly because they all traded and they all got what they wanted. What happened was, Mosca, Scipio, Prosper, Ricio, Ida, and the driver all went out to the water, but only Prosper, Scipio, and Mosca went to go see the Conte. Then they traded and the kids went back to the rest of the people.
Delete1. I think the exchange didn't work out well because the kids followed the conte so and they got shot at.The exchange did not go smoothly because when you get shot at nothing goes smoothly. I think the exchange did go bad because they got shot at plus the money was fake.
ReplyDelete4. I don't think it was a good idea for Scipio to go on the mission to go on the merry-go-round because he should not go on because you should really just stay where you are and live a normal life without getting older or younger.
ReplyDelete2. I think the merry go-round is on that island because the conte went there after they got the wing.
ReplyDelete1: The kids went on a boat and met up with the Conte. I do not think the exchange went smoothly because they ran into trouble. They almost got shot, and the money ended up not being real. That is why i think it didn't go smoothly. :)
ReplyDelete5) no because peaple say the child hood is the best part of life. Plus I dont want learn if I get a job or get married. If I did that there would be no fun in life if you learned every thing I need to know and then life would be boring like heck
ReplyDeleteI think the conte lives on that island and he is keeping a secret
ReplyDelete1) When the kids went to go give the wing to the Conte, they had to go into the canal to give it to him. I don't think that the exchange went smoothly because they shouldn't have had to go out into the canal in the middle of the night. Instead they could've just met by the canal instead of that.
ReplyDelete5. If I had a choice to ride on the merry-go-round I wouldn't because you never know what could happen but if I had to go on, I would go backwards so I could relive my childhood and I would have a longer life.
ReplyDeleteI think they wont get along so much
ReplyDelete3. Well if he goes on the merry go-round he will miss all the years of his childhood and he won't be able to know what he missed out on unless he goes back on it.
ReplyDeletetesting 1...2...3...
ReplyDelete1. I don't think went smoothly because they almost got shot. Then they collected the money but it was actually fake.
ReplyDeleteno because it is dangerous for a young kid
ReplyDeleteYes I would change my age to twenty six and I would would have my masters degree and get a career.
ReplyDelete1) In the begining it went smoothly but at the end it went kind of bad. It went good in the begining because the Conte gave them the money and leaft. But at the end they almost got shot from the Conte because they were following him.
ReplyDelete2) I think the Conte lives there on the island because the girl told Prosper and "The Theif Lord" they could see the Conte when it is morning. I also think the Conte's wife and the girl live there too.
3) When Scipio goes on that merry-go-round his father probably won't reconize him when they go back home and all the orphans won't reconize him either just Prosper would know. Also if he does ride the merry-go-round he would not be able to choose what age he wants to become he could become an old man or an age older.
4) No, I thnik it's not a good idea for Scipio to go on the merry-go round, because it make him one year older or into an old man. But I could see why Scipio would want to go on it he could stand up to his farther and do what he pleased. But if I were Scipio I would not go on it I want to enjoy my childhood not waste it.
5) I would propably go forward and then back to my organal age or close to my organal age. I would do this because i would like to see myself in the futre how I looked like. But I would not want to be an adult forever so when I was tired of being an adult I would change back.
I think that the Conte and the other girl lives on the island. They probably are the only ones who live on the island because not many people know about the island, and if they do know about it, they probably are to scared to go to the island.
ReplyDeleteI think the consequences of going onto the merry-go-round are, that he would lose all of their childhood and not be able to do a lot of the things as a child.
I agree with Amanda, that people are probably scared to go on the island that is why it is such a great hiding place for the merry go round. As they say no one who visits the island lives to tell the tale.
Delete2) I think that the Conte is living on the island because nobody really knows about the island and people probably don't want to go to the island because of what people have said when they go there.
ReplyDelete3) I think that consequences of going on the merry-go-round is that he may miss his childhood or enjoyed being his normal age instead of being younger.
4) I don't think that it is a good idea because he may not like having to have more responsibility when he is older or he may not be able to do things that he could have done when he was his normal age.
5) I wouldn't want to change my age because I enjoy being the age I am. Our childhood doesn't last forever so you should enjoy it now.
1) when they did the exchange they were in two different boats and they met in the bay
ReplyDelete2) i think that the exchange went good except that they gave them fake money and shot at them when they tried to follow.
3) I think that the exchange went well but it wasn't the most fair trade ever
2) I think that the conte lives on the island because when he gets the wing he head straight for it and later we found out that there is a house on it
ReplyDelete5) if there was a chance for me to to change my age i would want to be 27 because that is my favorite number and i think that it would be fun to be able to do whatever i wanted to.
ReplyDeleteYes, the exchange with the Conte went smoothly in the beginning, no one got hurt. However, it went bad when the children found out that the Conte gave fake money.
ReplyDelete1. The kids exchanged the lion's wing with the Conte for a bag full of money. I think the exchange went very well until the kids found out that it was all fake money. That's when it went bad. I think it was interesting that the kids followed the Conte. If only they didn't get caught, then they would have had a better look at the island so they didn't have to make another trip.
ReplyDelete2. I think that the Conte and the lady live on that island. Why would the Conte sail all the way to the island if he did not live there.
ReplyDelete3. The consequents of Scipio taking a ride on the merry go round is that he just threw his whole childhood. Now that Barborossa broke it there is no way for him to turn back to a kid. With his choice he will be unrecognized by his father and friends. Once his father doesn't find Scipio in his room he will search the whole city and never find him. He lost the chance to fit in with all his friends ,even though they don't like him.
ReplyDelete4. I do not think it was a good idea for Scipio to do this . As I said before, he wasted his childhood and will never get it back.Sure he is all strong and people will treat him different ,but being an adult doesn't give him all the ability he thinks it will.
ReplyDelete5. If I had the chance to change my age I wouldn't change it. If I did change my age I wouldn't have all the friends know all the family I have now. I do wish I could go back in the past and change a few events, but I wouldn't want to stay in the time of that event. Everything happens for a reason.
ReplyDelete1 the conte gave the kids a bag of money and the kids handed over the wing and the kids quickly counted the money. I think it went smothly because there was not a fight or argument.
ReplyDelete2 I think the conte and contessa live there with merry go round because they sailed there.
ReplyDelete3 He just lost his childhood and it actually will make him die sooner and now he'll never expiernce college or learn more to apply to life.
ReplyDelete4 I think it is a bad idea because he does not know how to care for himself and he does not know how to work a job.
ReplyDelete5 No. I would like to stay the same age and live a normal happy life and to learn a lot, and be patient and learn respect, responsibility and courage in order to sustain myself and my future family and to become a well respected business man known through out the world and become wealthy and learn through my mistakes and in the end, reflect on what I did, what I didn't do, and what I could've done and remember and to thank everyone who pushed me, who cared for me, and who helped me become a good and successful man and finally die a peaceful death and hope that I left my mark and made a powerful impact on America.
ReplyDelete1. the conte gave the kids money and the kids gave him a wooden lion's wing. Sort of because it was just a switch to item to item not much
ReplyDelete2. the conte because he sails out there every night 3. He lost his whole childhood and that is the most important time of your life and you can't relive it ever again
4. No because he lost his childhood and he can't get a job no one except Prosper knows who he is now
5. I would not change my age because this part of my life is really fun and I don't want to miss out on the best part of my life then go back or forward in my life

ReplyDelete#3 the consequences that the thief lord will face is being older so he will have to pay bills and other thing that adults do this will be hard for him because he has never done this things before.

ReplyDelete#2 I think that the Conte and the Contessa live on the island.
ReplyDelete#5 If I could change my age I would not. I like the age I am. I am happy being 11.
ReplyDelete2. I agree with Riki because the Conte did go to the island after they got the wing. I also think the Conte lives on that island!
ReplyDeleteI don't think so because the Conte gave them fake money and they had many conflicts.
ReplyDeleteI think the Conte lives on the island because he is very sneaky.
ReplyDeleteThings will be smaller or bigger for what age he will be.
ReplyDeleteYes because when he is older he doesn't have to listen to his father's selfish rules.
ReplyDeleteI would be twenty six to see if I would have my drivers lisence and career.
ReplyDelete1.I think that the exchange went smoothly except problems with fake money occurred after due to the fake money. This was bad because the Conte shouldn't of listened to Barbarossa when he told them to give him fake money. They did all of that work with stealing the wing, getting caught, and sailing to the island for a wad of fake money.
ReplyDelete2. The book explains that the Conte lives on that island and is trying to hide the carousel for hois own good when he finds the wing.
3. the consequences of Scipio riding the merry-go-round is that he will have to live his life elder than he is supposed to be and won't even know his age if someone asks him.
4. I don't believe that it was a good idea for Scipio to do this because he won't know his age if anyone asks him and he won't be educated like he is suposed to be even though he wasn't in the first place.
5. If I had the chance to change my age...I would. I would want to do this change but still look the same because of my career in acting. This is so, because they like kids that look younger than they are so that they may work more hours. I would only like to change my age to twelve though because I don't want to be to young but then again, I don't want to miss so much of my life. But, some people may argue that it is great to go backwards to live a longer childhood which I do agree with. However, if there's a really great day that you had, you wouldn't want to go and mess it up or change it. Yet, some people say that they would like to relive their mistakes and fix them. I'm sure we would all like to do that too but we would never learn from our mistakes and every moment in our life would be just perfect even though there is always one thing you wish that you never did.
4. yes because he could do a lot more when he is a grown up and people will take him more seriously.
ReplyDelete5. I wouldn't want to change my age because I like the way I am and I want to live my whole life. But if I where to change it might be 20 or 21 years old.
They went out on a boat to exchange the wing for 50,000 dollars. However, they do not know it is fake money. I did not think it went smoothly because the children and Ida went to see what the conte was doing and I think the Conte thought they found out it was fake and thats why they shot at them.
ReplyDeleteI think the Conte lives on the island because they sailed out on there after the exchange with the wing and money.
ReplyDeleteThe consequences of scipio going on the merry go round is that he will be and adult and not be able to do kid stuff. He will also have to get a job and live on his own.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a bad idea because he can't be a kid any more he has to make his own choices and doesn't have anyone to care for him.
ReplyDeleteI would not want to go on it because I like the way I am and don't want to change, but if I would choose an age I would pick to be 18.
ReplyDelete2) I think There was someone on the island besides just thw Conte because it was a big island and it wouldn't seem just one person would live there .. . :)
ReplyDelete3.) The Consequences of Scipio being an adult is one , it broke so he can't go back , and also , he will never complete the experiances you have when you are a kid . . . I think it was a horrible idea. . .
ReplyDeleteIt will be different for him because there are a lot of atvantages when you are a kid . . and now , he Has to be an adult .. . and face adult challenges . .
4.) I think it was a terrible idea. Now he is an adult , he won't ever complete the kid challenges he would have had .
ReplyDelete5.) I would because I wouldn't have to be so restricted and have less rules. I would feel released in a odd way. I would Be 16 or 17 . . :]
ReplyDelete2. I think the Conte and his sister live on the Isola Segreta because they went to the island and why would they go to that island. Also, the had two dogs with them and the two dogs were not attacking the Conte andchis sister.
ReplyDelete3. The concequences Scipo faces by riding that merry-go-round is he will NEVER get to relive his childhood. It will be difficult for him because now all he has to do as an adult is WORK, WORK, WORK!
4. I think it was a VERY bad idea for Scipio th ride the merry-go-round, and a good one too. It was bad because he will never get to have fun as a child and he will have to work all day. It was good so he can stay away from his father and he will not get yelled at.
5. If I got the chance to change my age, I would change it to age 3 because I did not have to go to school and all I got to do was eat, play, sleep, and watch movies.
